Diana & Elliott Guernsey Wedding
I was lucky enough that this wedding back in May brought me back to Guernsey, which was a real joy to return to. This time it was for the wedding of the lovely Diana and Elliott! Guernsey itself and Sark Island proved to be the perfect backdrop for their special day.
This was a wedding straight out of Pinterest inspiration pages, so no wonder the images turned out as gorgeous as they did! I can always tell when the couple are creative and put their own spin on something, and Diana and Elliott were no exception. They’re both a part of the photography industry so it was wonderful to be chosen to capture their day, which made them easy to work with. Every couple’s tastes and preferences are so different and I’m always wowed by what each pair come up with.
The walk up to the chapel reminded me of the film scene in Mamma Mia, so we really transported to another place (I must mention the walk up to the chapel nearly killed me – whereas Diana was marching up there like there was no stopping her!). St Tugual’s Chapel is an 11th century building on top of the Sark Island. It felt super intimate as it was so small, and it was a really special location. The blue and pink hues of the guests’ outfits complemented the greenery and each other beautifully. The shots by the sea were breathtaking and thank goodness the sun came out to play!
There were definitely a lot of big personalities invited – as can be seen by the funny faces on the bus and throughout the day! It created a real sense that everyone was so happy to be there, sharing in the celebrations for the happy couple. From eight through to eighty, everyone was really enjoying themselves and the good energy was infectious – that’s what a wedding is all about.
It was like every little detail had been thought about, right down to the silly socks worn by the groom and groomsmen! Diana wore a gorgeous poufy ball gown of a dress, with a denim jacket with ‘Mrs Corbin’ written across the back, and white Converse and beautiful flower crown. It was the perfect mix of relaxed and elegant, just like the whole day, and a real joy to immortalise with my camera. Congratulations to Diana and Elliot!
