Feeling Festive at Darlington Hall, Totnes
It’s #WeddingWednesday!
Christmas is just round the corner! There’s something truly special about weddings in the winter. What better time to share with you another collaborative shoot with some brilliant fellow suppliers. Take a break from the hustle and bustle of present shopping and feast your eyes on this festive treat.

The stunning Darlington Hall in Totnes was the location for this shoot, and really, what could be more magical? Fit with beautiful lighting, historic grounds (and of course, a Christmas tree or two), it was hard not to get into the most festive of moods in such a stunning place. We could have been in a performance of The Nutcracker!

Flowers and cold weather aren’t known for mixing, but would a wedding really be complete without them? I think not.
Native Flower Farm’s wintery blooms are the perfect choice for a winter wedding, and something a little bit different from traditional fresh flowers! They looked great in the hands of our model bride.

Simply Celebrations supplied wooden table number holders and log candles, giving the set up that perfect rustic edge, making everything feel a little cosier despite the cold of winter! Simply Celebrations offer a wide range of finishing touches, chair covers and centre pieces too - why not check them out?

Stationery, including menus and place cards, was provided by the lovely Abi and Ben at Dearly Beloved.
The carefully crafted colours were shown off perfectly by the sparkly silver tablecloths from Pretty Accessory. The perfect touch of sequin glitz — reminiscent of a Christmas Eve or New Years soiree!

What made this shoot extra special was the amazing S’mores Bar from Proper Job Parties (even if we all braced ourselves for chocolate dripping on the pristine white dress!).
Guests can create their own S’more - a "combination of fire-roasted marshmallow and a layer of chocolate sandwiched between two pieces of lightly honey-glazed graham crackers”. Delicious! It’s wonderful to see all the new and innovative ideas and choices for couples on their special day - whatever will be next?!

Speaking of sweet things, Two Ginger Nuts, who you might have seen me mention on social media, yet again amazed me with their gorgeous cakes and bakes, sprinkled with an array of crimson flowers and holly berries - the ribbon even matched the bride’s lipstick - almost to good to eat!

Winter brides can be so classically beautiful, especially the contrast of a deep red lipstick against the snowy white of a dress! Truly Delightful Bridal brought just that to the shoot, alongside MUA Gem Ryder, who transformed our bride into a glittering beauty, complete with sparkles on her eyelids. Combined with classic curls intertwined with flowers, by April Wagner of Wag’s hair, our model looked divine!
As well as inside the Hall, we showcased this look out amongst the greenery of the idyllic Dartington grounds and I’m sure you’ll agree the results were oh so beautiful.

So, if you are planning your own big day, reminiscing about the past, or simply looking for some inspiration, give these suppliers a peruse - it was a joy to work with them and create such wonderful Christmassy magic.
Merry Christmas and a happy New Year, everyone!
